Engagement Ring Shopping!
Sunday, February 20th, 2011
Nothing is more potentially fun or dangerous than shopping for engagement rings! It’s always a rush for a client to shop for a ring that will potentially change their lives forever. There is certainly no more risky purchase when you stop to consider that there’s a chance the lady may not “fall in love” with the ring. Can you imagine, the feeling that would come with seeing her wince when she first sees the ring. Yikes.
The good news that we have is that through the years of coaching nervous men through this purchase, we have pretty much developed a nice little speech that seems to help, so we’re putting it on the web.
When you are shopping for your ring, you are going to need to take your own taste in jewelry out of the equation. Just think of yourself as a courier. You are there, in a manner of speaking, to simply pick up the ring and deliver it to her. Forget that you’ll be proposing, just be the courier for a while. As a “courier” of this ring, you will most likely find that you know what she wants… whether you know it or not~As a “courier” for the engagement ring, you have some knowledge about what she wants already, after all you have been dating her for a while…believe it or not~As a “courier” (just pretend with me) of this special ring, you’ll already have a lot of knowledge about what she wants…whether you believe it or not}~believe it… or not}~As a “courier” of the engagement ring, you’ll probably find that you know what she wants whether you know it or not… whether you know it or not~As the “courier” for your engagement ring, you have knowledge about what she wants already, after all you have been going out with her for a while…whether you believe it or not~As a “courier” (just pretend with me) of this special ring, you’ll already have a lot of knowledge about what she wants…whether you believe it or not}~ believe it}. You’ve seen her wearing jewelry for quite a while probably and you know a lot about what she likes and what she doesn’t like. So, all you have to do is look for the ring that would look good with her existing jewelry. If you have any doubts, just try this trick.
Take with you to the store, a photograph of your intended (or a whole pile of pictures) so that a salesperson will be able to see her necklace, rings, ear rings or other jewelry. When you show this to a really savvy jewelry specialist like the kind you meet working in a jewelry store, they are going to be able to match up the ring to her taste with ease.
All the best luck with your task. We hope these tips will help you in some small way to have success popping the question!
